As part of its mission to connect artistic expression with environmental awareness, the TREES project organised two major conferences that brought together artists, researchers, educators, and environmental activists from across Europe. These events highlighted the power of the performing arts to inspire ecological reflection, promote biodiversity awareness, and strengthen community engagement.
The first conference, held in Dublin as part of the Irish Arts and Human Rights Festival, explored how creative practices can support climate action, ocean literacy, and environmental education. The second, the Final Online Conference, gathered partners and participants from across Europe to showcase the project’s performances, share research insights, and discuss future directions for eco-performing arts.
Together, these two conferences represent key milestones of the TREES project, demonstrating how cross-border artistic collaboration can deepen our connection to nature and encourage sustainable action.
