Dancing Trees (DAH Theatre, Serbia)

The performance DANCING TREES aims to look for answers about what performing artists and citizens can do in response to one of the biggest crises we are facing today, the crisis of a healthy environment survival, whose direct result is the global climate change and one of the main causes of it – deforestation.

It is a site-specific dance theatre performance which explores the importance of tree preservation. The show engages five performers, with the original music, and it aims to sensitise the audience and encourage initiatives in defence against excessive tree felling.

Through the language of dance and theatre, poetry and video art, this production speaks about the importance of forest protection, without which our living conditions are deteriorating daily in our cities, countries, and the world.
